Because the focus of the Lesson is entirely on what you want to know, most find this to be an easier and faster way to learn.
Every Lesson is available this week as a Private Lesson at over 20 Locations in the Atlanta area.
Can be a fun way to learn, especially after you are proficient with controlling your own camera settings.
Lower price, because it is a group. I keep my group size limited to just a few so my Group Lessons are also “hands on” Active Learning.
Scheduling / availability of Group Classes this month is not as convenient as Private Lessons.

Intro to Photography
Saturday morning August 24, 2025 11:00 am at downtown Alpharetta near Kilwin’s Ice Cream and the fountain. 1 hour Group Lesson. $59.
You will be using your camera, as we as a group photograph the same Subject / Background / Light… introducing you to how the camera works. As we discuss camera settings and controls… we will start with… the most automated / easiest to use controls and move on to the more creative controls. “How to” is easy to learn. I show you, as you use your camera, the “why” and “when” these choices are better “for your art”.
All camera brands. Nikon, Canon, Fuji, Sony, Panasonic, Olympus, etc.
August Event:
Wildlife / Birds / Sports Photography

This lens is a joy to use for Wildlife, Birds, Sports Photography. Because of the specialness of this lens, I am forming the groups / Locations by your interest in Sports or Birds. Soccer Moms and Dads
August and September 2025 during your kid’s soccer practice, at your kid’s practice field.
5 Week Series of Lessons. 1 hour each week, at the same time and place, for 5 consecutive weeks. Group size is limited to no more than 3 people in class with cameras. You may want to split costs with others on your team. $395 total in one payment.
I believe in Active Learning. Especially with fast moving sports, achieving precise Focus on your Subject takes knowledge and practice. This is hands on, you will be taking control of your camera settings.
You will learn “the Art of Aperture” and “the Art of Shutter”. Most nicer cameras today allow you to change -both- Aperture and Shutter at the same time. By automating the ISO we now have “more fun with our Art” while the camera does “the final Math” for us.
More than just the basics… you will be comfortable with setting up your camera and controlling your camera for fast action sports.
