The daffodils are in bloom! Today is opening day for the 2026 season at the gardens. Today is springtime in Atlanta. Today is springtime in America.
Today is a gift.
As a photographer that teaches photography, I have the opportunity to see what others see. “What should I be looking at?” is a question.
Talking with friends is how we improve. As photographers, much of what we talk about is Light. Reflected Light.

We keep the faith. Light.
Waiting. Waiting for answers. From the Light in my soul. And that Light that keeps calling… are the Lights of Hello…
Even when it seems like some leaders, that should know history better, want to return to the Dark Ages, “we keep on keeping on”… knowing that our world keeps getting better. Together.
Open up Time. Open up Space. A conversation between the past and future. Like a daffodil, we live. Thankful for past generations that multiplied the beauty of what we enjoy today.
Like a field of daffodils, we grow together. Our strength, today, makes future generations even more beautiful.

No one that knows history would truly want to live in the past. These are the good days… today!
Love is the Answer. What’s the Question?
“Skills for photography, skills for life”. I borrowed that phrase from a soccer coach who said “Skills for the Field” “Skills for Life”. By simplifying complexity we understand what it is that we want to improve.
In all languages, with all of our pasts and all of our futures, together and individually. Progress!
Sit in church. Go for a walk. Meditate on love.
