Sure, I am opinionated.

There are really good retailers. Specialty retailers known as “camera shops”… with real humans that are actual photographers themselves. People you can talk with and follow up with, that become your “go to guy” (or lady), for photography advice. You can also build your relationship with humans at the manufacturers directly. Camera companies. Photography gear companies. Good people to know!

But not Amazon. Not big box stores. And not those silly online Marketplace vendors. While “their goal” is the transaction… you can do so much better than that. “Your goal” is a better Customer Experience.

You may already know me as David Nikon Guy, which is easier to spell than my name, David Schwalje. And yes, Nikon is my favorite camera and lenses. For many decades!

I have enjoyed helping thousands of people (with all brands of cameras) in the Atlanta area and while traveling.

Life is good… I feel lucky and blessed.

My wife and I have been a part of the Vinings, Alpharetta, and Johns Creek community for over 30 years. Our kids are advancing in their careers. Looking back it is easy to see Love Is The Answer… a good community… Teachers. Coaches. Mentors. Family. Good friends. Photography dovetails nicely with many passions: Music. Art. Food. Sports. Nature. Wildlife. Travel. Careers.

And continue to get advice after you buy. Local camera shops have websites and fulfillment (and they know the importance of packaging your product properly). Real camera shops!

Manufacturers / brands have wonderful websites now. Amazing source for knowledge. Fresh product. The entire product line! Buying direct from the manufacturer brand… can give you… a better customer experience. There is no need to buy from Amazon or a big box store.
